The score
Each product gets a score out of 10, built from four weighted benchmarks.

Prices
We check prices across UK retailers and date them on every review. Prices move often, so always check the retailer before you buy.
Supplements
We compare the active ingredients per daily serving, taken from the product label and manufacturer data. Cost per day is worked out at the label feeding amount for the pet size stated in the review.
Supplements support normal body function. They don’t treat or cure disease, and we don’t review them as if they do.
Food and vet diets
We compare analytical constituents from the label, price per kilo and daily feeding cost. Veterinary diets are made to be fed under veterinary advice, so we list them factually and don’t recommend one over another.
Supplies and kit
We look at materials, sizing, how easy it is to clean or fit, and how it holds up according to owner reviews.
What we leave out
We don’t rank, score or price-compare prescription-only veterinary medicines. Your vet is the right person for that decision.
